Dani

Hey Everyone,

My name is Danielle and I was born and raised in South Carolina and have resided here my whole life! I am currently engaged to the most wonderful man in the world who is also my business partner in The Carolina Girls Promotions LLC. Due to COVID-19 we have yet to tie the knot but are looking forward to doing so very soon!

I have worked in conservation for 11 years. Starting in 2013, I began working with the USDA-NRCS and Newberry Soil and Water Conservation District as the District Coordinator/Executive Director. I hosted education programs for adults to learn about conservation, recycling, gardening, and being good stewards of our precious land. I developed supplemental teaching programs where I visited schools - kindergarten to college - and taught conservation, environmental science, gardening and more. I started multiple school gardens, orchards, and nature trails across Newberry County School District. I assisted and applied (and received) grants for the Indian Creek Restoration Project in South Carolina. I assisted local landowners in implementing conservation on their land through government contracts. I was subcontracted out to assist NRCS with these conservation efforts even after my resignation in 2018. I did this for about 3 years and decided to join the Newberry Soil and Water Conservation District Board as an Associate Commissioner where I now give support and assistance to the new District Coordinator. I loved working in conservation, but after meeting my fiancé I found a new passion for farming.

My fiancé, Dan, graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelors in Agriculture Applied Economics and Statistics. We own a 200-acre farm where we raises beef cattle in a cow-calf operation. I resign to help him on the farm and to focus my efforts on conservation in a different form ... through working conservations banquets and sales with a local promo group. I loved being able to work on the farm and work banquets and still be able to be a steward of the land. Farming and conservation have become such a passion for me and we soon after started our own group, The Carolina Girls.

Upon starting this group, we wanted our efforts to be more than just raffle sales. We wanted this group to make a difference and to let that be shown by giving back to the organizations we love and support. We've built this business with conservation in mind and at the forefront of what we do. We've also built it around teamwork and family. The group of girls we have hired are a TEAM and we are a FAMILY. We have implemented training programs for each model and we encourage them to become independent, strong business women. We teach not only sales, but also gun safety, shooting classes, conservation and how everything we do is for the good of the land.

This is more than selling raffle tickets, it is creating a better world and a better life for future generations. We hope you find our business as inviting and caring as we do and hope that we can assist you in your fundraising and conservation efforts. It is TRULY something we love and care about and strive to show through our work! Thanks for listening and we hope to see you soon!
